Home :: Gallery :: Latest News :: About Me :: Links Welcome to the MTC Photos website, thanks for dropping by. This is the first real attempt to create a portal for my creative talents, so please bare with me as I fine tune this; with the capable help of some friends, namely Lance Concannon. Lance is responsible for the technical aspects of this here website And so to the more trivial matters, who am I and why am I doing this? My name is Mike Cadden and this site is to be exhibit my early work. It is to be my gallery and also to provide an outlet for me as I try and perfect my picture takingUp till recently I was an IT Manager for a very large online company and was lucky enough to have my shares pay for some of my more extravagant hobbies, motorbikes and Photography amongst them (For anyone interested I currently ride a Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R). I am now in the very fortunate position of being able to take some time away from the desk world of IT and can venture out into the bright blue beyond, armed only with my camera. I only really started getting into photography about a year ago, with the purchase of my first Digital SLR, the quite wonderful Canon 300D. If you are just starting out in Photography I would seriously advice you to pick one of these up, They are simply lovely and a number of the images on here were taken with that. A little while ago though, an accident did for the 300 and I used the opportunity to upgrade to the 20D. THis is still my weapon of choice and now shoot with it and 3 main lenses, a canon 10-22, a sigma 18-55 and the sigma 70-200. Fantastic lenses all. At the moment I don't have any real primary interests or specialisms, although my highland upbringing has left me with a love for the countryside and the sea, and I will be exploring those. I live in London and so will be spending a lot of time looking at the great metroplis, hopefully from new and interesting angles. If you like any of the photo's on here, I do have high definition copies available for sale, framed or unframed. Due to the quality of the 20D, most images can scale to well over A3 size and look fantastic on either standard prints or on canvas. There are no prices attached to any shots, it all depends on what you like, what size you want and how I am feeling that day :-). If you want to buy anything, please feel free to contact me on the email address below. Don't forget to tell me which shot. Also if you like the general feel of my photographs but not the actual images, please contact me with any thoughts of what you are actually looking for and I will try and oblige. Use the email address below to contact me. At the end of the day, I'm taking photo's I like. I hope others will like them as well. And don't be scared to let me know what you think. Mike Cadden |
